Social determinants of health (SDOH) are the conditions in the environments where people are born, live, learn, work, play, worship, and age that affect a wide range of health, functioning, and quality-of-life outcomes and risks.
Real talk? Health is so much more than a number on the scale, choices we make, or whether we’re feeling sick or well. Health is determined by social elements too – in fact, the World Health Organization says that 5 Social Determinants can impact up to 55% of our health outcomes.
Anyway…the SDoH is the framework by which I work and will guide you when thinking about what resources you have and what you want to change.

Hi, I’m Elizabeth — and I’m glad you’re here.
This course was born out of my own search for more meaning and purpose. A few years ago, I found myself asking the big questions: What do I do with the rest of my life? How do I find the pieces of myself I’ve lost along the way? Am I happy? I realized that I had both the questions and the tools — I’m a licensed counselor with a background in adult development, curriculum design, and wellness. So I got to work.
I started planning. I read books, listened to podcasts, and watched videos of incredible people. Then I created my own worksheets and took myself on a personal retreat. And through that process, I began to reconnect with myself and what brings me both meaning and joy. My podcast, This Toast Is for You, came out of that journey — and so did this course.

As I talked with friends and acquaintances, I heard a familiar pattern: people feeling at a crossroads. Their kids had moved out, their jobs felt flat, or the state of the world left them discouraged. They didn’t necessarily want to start over — they just wanted to feel connected to something meaningful again. They were asking, “Who am I now?” “What’s next?” “What is my path now?”
And I thought — I can help with this. This is what I’m trained to do. So, I built the course I wanted for my friends — one grounded in reflection, encouragement, and purposeful tools that meet you exactly where you are.
This Time Is for You isn’t about self-improvement or reinvention. It’s about returning to what’s true, meaningful, and possible.
Whether you’re here for a reset, a reimagining, or a return to yourself, you belong here.
Let’s begin — this time is for you.
